The Global Entrepreneurship Summit is an annual event organized by the federal government of the United States, in partnership with foreign government hosts. It brought together entrepreneurs from the United States, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia to discuss the importance of social and economic entrepreneurship, establish entrepreneurship as an important area of policy focus, and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships between entrepreneurs. The GES creates an environment that empowers innovators to take their ideas to the next level.
The eighth summit was held in Hyderabad, India, from November 28 to 30, 2017. Ivanka Trump led the U.S. contingent to the summit, which highlighted the theme of "Women First, Prosperity for All" and focused on supporting female entrepreneurs and fostering global economic growth. Women represented 52.5% of entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem supporters at the summit, which was attended by 1,500 participants, including approximately 300 investors.
To our great honor, Rainergy was represented at this global event by its founder, Reyhan Jamalova, and embarked on a huge interest among the participants and world media. Reyhan, 15-year-old, was the youngest woman entrepreneur at the summit.
In the plenary session, Ivanka Trump has recognized 3 entrepreneurs and their incredible work from all over the world in her speech, including Reyhan Jamalova and Rainergy.
Also, here with us today is Reyhan Jamalova from Azerbaijan. Reyhan, please stand up! You all won't believe this, but Reyhan is just 15 years old. But that has not stopped her from founding her company that harvests energy from rainwater. Reyhan has a powerful motto: 'Light up one house at a time!' Reyhan, each home you light up is illuminating the world. We are inspired by your brilliance and your hard work. Thank you!
After the plenary session, Ivanka Trump has met Reyhan Jamalova and wished her good luck on developing the Rainergy.
Reyhan also attended the GIST Catalyst Pitch competition semifinals and successfully presented Rainergy at the global stage in front of an expert panel of judges, entrepreneurs, and investors. As a semifinalist, Reyhan competed for over $400,000 USD worth of entrepreneurial resources and gained $1500 USD credits from AWS (Amazon Web Service). Here is her full presentation with Q&A:
Pre-summit, Reyhan Jamalova attended the Global Entrepreneur Meet by APNRT and APEDB on the 27th of November. She pitched Rainergy there and met with investors and her fellow entrepreneurs. APNRT recognized Reyhan Jamalova as a special guest and praised her wonderful work with Rainergy.
With so many connections, amazing experiences, so much knowledge, and its entrepreneurial environment, GES became a golden key for the development of Rainergy and a gate from the local market to the global one.
